Cancel guide: when you'll be charged, and the steps for each platform

How to cancel

Web (perplexity.ai) — where partner-promo billing runs

  1. Sign in at perplexity.ai and open Settings.
  2. Scroll to "Subscription" under Perplexity Pro.
  3. Click "Manage Subscription", then choose "Cancel subscription".
  4. Cancel before deleting your account: deleting the account does not end the subscription.

PayPal (website)

  1. Log in to paypal.com and go to "Settings", then "Payments".
  2. Select "Subscriptions and saved businesses" (or "Automatic Payments").
  3. Select Perplexity and cancel the automatic payment on that page.

Venmo app

  1. Open Venmo settings and find Connected Businesses.
  2. Select Perplexity and disconnect it.

Stopping PayPal or Venmo payments only removes the payment method; also cancel on perplexity.ai so the plan itself ends.

iPhone / iPad (App Store) — only if you pay through Apple

  1. Open the App Store and tap your profile icon (top right).
  2. Tap "Subscriptions", then "Perplexity - Ask Anything".
  3. Choose "Cancel subscription".

Android (Google Play) — only if you pay through Google Play

  1. Open the Google Play app and tap the settings icon (top right).
  2. Tap "Payments & Subscriptions", then "Perplexity - Ask Anything".
  3. Choose "Cancel subscription" at the bottom of the screen.

Access continues to the end of the paid period: "Your account will be reverted back to the free version after the end of the current billing cycle." (https://www.perplexity.ai/help-center/en/articles/10354283-canceling-a-subscription). Refunds outside the EU, UK, Turkey, South Korea and Brazil: monthly "You can request a refund up to 24 hours after the purchase date."; annual "You are eligible for a full refund within 72 hours of the original purchase date and time." (https://www.perplexity.ai/help-center/en/articles/10354288-refunds). App Store purchases are refunded by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com (https://www.perplexity.ai/help-center/en/articles/10353015-billing-for-ios-subscriptions); for Google Play "please contact us via Help > Contact Support" (https://www.perplexity.ai/help-center/en/articles/10353020-billing-for-android-subscriptions).
